2026 Native Plant Sale

The Tippecanoe County Soil and Water Conservation District strives to offer a variety of native plants at reasonable prices as a service to our community. Proceeds from this sale help to support our conservation programs which include public education and personalized conservation assistance to landowners.  

The 2026 plant sale is 3 weeks earlier than in recent years and the plants will be smaller. The smaller the plant is when it is planted, the less stress it will have. 

All orders will be picked up at the Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds in the west wing of the main building. The fairgrounds are located at 1406 Teal Rd | Lafayette, IN 47905. There will be signs directing you to the correct building and doors. 

There are two dates available for order pick up and purchasing plants:

April 24: Come anytime between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. on April 24, 2026 to pick up preorders and/or shop for plants at the public sale.   

We cannot guarantee that all species will be available at the public sale. The best way to get the plants you want is to order early. 

April 25:  Come anytime between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on April 25, 2026 to pick up preorders and/or shop for plants at the public sale. We cannot guarantee that all species will be available at the public sale. The best way to get the plants you want is to order early. The Master Gardener Association of Tippecanoe County Garden Expo is the same time next door in the West Pavilion. The West Central Chapter of the Indiana Native Plant Society will also be selling native plants at the Garden Expo. We encourage you to give them a visit. 

If you are unable to pick up your order on April 24 or 25, please plan to have someone else pick it up for you. Due to the volume of plants we process, we are unable to hold orders beyond April 25.

You have the right to refuse plants at the time of pick-up if you are dissatisfied. A refund, minus a 5% restocking fee, will be issued by check after our next board meeting. 

Although we strive to provide all the plants listed, there may be times when these species become unavailable. If the listed species are not available at the time of delivery, we will work with the nurseries to substitute a similar plant species or refunds will be offered.  

Orders are due by April 6, 2026.

After your plants are planted feel free to drop off pots and trays from our sale at our office located at 1812 Troxel Drive | Lafayette, IN 47909 and we will return them to the nursery for reuse.
